End-to-end execution
As Head of Design, leading three squads, I owned the end-to-end UX/UI strategy and redesign of the VOX Cinemas booking experience, while staying hands-on from discovery and prototyping through final design and launch.
Reimagining the end-to-end cinema experience, making it easier to discover movies, choose cinemas and showtimes, select seats, book tickets, and manage the entire movie-going journey from one app.
01 The Challenge
Users were dropping off during booking. We needed to reduce friction, make each step easier to navigate, and bring the excitement of going to the cinema into the experience — all within the launch timeline.
02 The Experience
We made it easier to explore films and choose a show, select seats confidently, and complete checkout through a clear path to booking confirmation.
Purposeful motion guided attention, connected each step, and provided feedback, adding cinematic energy while helping users move through the journey.
03 Quick Book
Reimagining cinema booking in just three taps
We simplified the booking journey so users can go from choosing a movie to confirming their seats in just three taps, reducing friction and making booking faster and easier.
04 Experience Workshop
Before we redesigned the booking journey, we ran an experience workshop with Publicis Sapient, the external agency supporting us on strategy. Together we mapped the cinema experience end to end, from the moment someone decides to see a film to the point they leave the cinema.
That shared view of the current experience set the direction for what followed: where the app genuinely helps, where it falls short, and which journeys to focus on first.

05 Leading the Design
I set the design direction and guided three designers across discovery, seat selection, and checkout. I kept the squad focused on the moments that mattered most, balancing usability and visual expression while keeping delivery on track.
06 The Impact
We launched the redesigned journey on time, delivering a simpler, more connected experience from film discovery to booking confirmation. Reduced drop-off remained a key measure for post-launch evaluation.

As Head of Design, leading three squads, I owned the end-to-end UX/UI strategy and redesign of the VOX Cinemas booking experience, while staying hands-on from discovery and prototyping through final design and launch.
Defined the product and visual design direction across movie discovery, showtimes, seat selection, food and beverage, checkout, and ticket management, ensuring a consistent experience across the app.
Stayed close to the craft, designing key journeys, interactions, prototypes, and high-fidelity experiences while guiding the wider design team through execution.
Used customer insights, usability testing, booking data, and experimentation to identify friction and continuously improve key booking journeys.
Worked closely with product, engineering, cinema operations, business, and stakeholders to turn complex requirements into simple, customer-first experiences.
